※Single or dual maze system
The maze for this test is designed to a distinctive Y-shape. Using this type of shape as a maze allows for more stable measurements in each subject. There are two types of software available; for a single subject or for dual subjects.
The software includes a navigation function, which provides for a fully automated experiment. The experimenter only needs to place the subject in the start position assigned by the software. Using the offline analysis, the criteria for
whether the subjects entered or left each arm can be modified, which provides an advantageous use of the Y-maze software.
迷路は主として動物が歩きやすく、かつ逃亡を企てにくい特徴的な形をしております。この実験では、動物がアームの何処まで歩いたら侵入したと定義するか、３本のアームとは独立して中心部という概念を定義するかなどの点について、研究者・研究室によって判定方法に差があります。このソフトウェアではすべての研究者の定義に合わせて設定が可能ですし、オフライン解析で定義を変更することも可能です。１～２個体同時にリアルタイム画像解析による実験が可能です。
